Cheryl Semiz

Cheryl Semiz entered recovery in her early 20s after spending most of her late teens in and out of jail, rehabilitation centers, halfway houses, and hospitals overcoming drug-induced comas and 14 hospitalized overdoses. Growing up in a loving typical American home, Cheryl advocates for the disease of addiction, as it does not discriminate and it touches all walks of life. Cheryl began working in the field of addiction at the age of 25 where she helped in the development of an NJ-based outpatient program.

Now Cheryl is the Chief Marketing Officer at Absolute Awakenings Treatment Center in Denville, NJ. Cheryl is passionate about helping those struggling with addiction and guiding them down the path to find recovery. She wants them to know it is possible to get sober and wants her hand to be out at all times for anyone who seeks help. Cheryl encourages families to keep hope that their loved one can recover.
