Advanced Practice Nurse (Psych)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• ✓ Assist in completing the following documentation: Admission Note, Nursing Assessment, Pre-Screen Testing.
• ✓ Performs Psychiatric Evaluations for clients including screening, and documenting in EMR each visit.
• ✓ Transcribes Physician’s Orders and Implements all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• ✓ Confers with and assists the Medical Doctor and/or Psychiatrist.
• ✓ Makes appropriate referrals using referral forms.

Professional Skills

• ✓ Graduate Degree from an accredited college or university with at least a degree in nursing
• ✓ Certified by the Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse
• ✓ Current and valid licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse with a psych specialty in the State of New Jersey
• ✓ At least two (2) years of nursing experience in the role of Advanced Practice Nurse treating individuals with behavioral health and addiction concerns
• ✓ Current and valid certification to prescribe Controlled Dangerous Substance and Current and valid registration with Drug Enforcement Administration.
