MUNIficent Behavioral Hospitals I, Inc. (“MUNIficent”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation whose mission is to improve lives and communities through treating the full spectrum of mental health disorders, including substance use disorders. MUNIficent executes this mission through its subsidiaries and businesses, including Absolute Awakenings Treatment Center, LLC (“Absolute Awakenings”), True Life Care and Nova Mind.
As the 501(c)(3) nonprofit parent entity, MUNIficent serves as the governing and oversight body for Absolute Awakenings, True Life Care and Nova Mind, ensuring alignment with MUNIficent’s charitable mission and strategic objectives. MUNIficent retains ultimate fiduciary responsibility and provides corporate governance through its board of directors, which establishes policies, approves budgets, and oversees executive leadership. Day-to-day operations of MUNIficent’s business are conducted through Absolute Awakenings, True Life Care and Nova Mind.
